Who this program is for:

Solo or micro business owners, bloggers, and VA’s who either:

• Have been fumbling around with Kit for awhile - you’re confused as heck about it and want something straightforward to help you learn the basics so you know your subscribers are getting the emails that they signed up for
• Switching to Kit from another email marketing software - you want to reduce the learning curve of learning a brand new software
• Brand new to email marketing and want to get started with Kit - you understand basic concepts of email marketing (e.g. lead magnets / opt-ins, welcome sequences, segmentation) but want technical guidance with setting them up on Kit

Course Overview

By the end of the program, you’ll be able to:

✅ Confidently import subscribers to your Kit account.

✅ Incorporate consent when giving people the option to sign up for freebies / lead magnets so that you’re only adding people who have agreed to hear from you.

✅ Understand the difference between a single and a double opt-in, decide which one is right for you, and and how to set up each.

✅ Build a simple automation for when someone signs up for your email list so that they’re feeling welcomed and they know what to expect.

✅ Automatically delivery freebies & send a welcome email when someone signs up for your email list

✅ Send email broadcasts to a segment of your subscribers so that you’re sending relevant information to the right people on your email list.

Course Curriculum

This course will cover everything in the Grow, Send (minus Snippets), and Automate sections of Kit (minus the RSS feed), but broken down into bit-sized lessons that can be completed in under 30 minutes.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

• Overview of Kit’s dashboard & settings menu, so you know what everything means and where to find important information.
• Deep dive into subscribers, including how to important subscribers, individual subscriber dashboards, finding unengaged subscribers, tagging & segmentation
• Kit’s form & landing pages, including adding in extra fields, delivering freebies to new subscribers, double vs. single opt-ins, and getting consent
• Sending emails, including basic design features (I want you to understand where to find things, but I’m not a designer!), sequence settings, setting up email broadcasts, and when to use a broadcast vs. a sequence
• Automations & rules, how and why to use each one, setting up a basic automation with a welcome sequence for new subscribers

What’s included in the course:

I believe learning Kit should feel straightforward and achievable. Here’s how we’ll make it happen:

👩🏻‍💻 Bite-Sized Video Lessons: Short video lessons (under 15 minutes) delivered to your inbox Monday through Thursday, with written instructions and screenshots where it helps. Depending on the day, the lessons will include between 1-3 videos. Fridays are designed as a catch up day so that you can stay on track.

📅 Client-only rates for Power Hours: Need some 1:1 support? For the duration of the course, you can book me for an hour of dedicated support at my clients-only rate of $175 (normally $250, so $75 savings).

💰 $10 Bev Bucks: Get a $10 credit to apply to a future purchase, either a digital product or Power Hour.

✏️ A few bonus lessons: There’s a lot we could cover, including some really unique Kit features, but I also don’t want to overwhelm you. So after we complete the main curriculum, you’ll also get access to some advanced beginner-friendly features, including:

• Polls, so you can increase engagement, segment your subscribers, and better understand their needs and interests
• The basics of Kit’s Creator Network, their built-in referral network, so that you can recommend and be recommended by other Kit users and grow your email list organically.
• Sequence & Broadcast reports, so that you understand what all of that data means after you send emails
• How to set up a link trigger so that your subscribers are empowered to turn off promotional emails but stay on your email list.
